One of the buildings within The Docent’s Collection was recently recognized for its historic renovation and design work.
Portland real estate management, investment and development firm East Brown Cow was recognized for its multi-year renovation and rehabilitation of the Boyd Block at 178 Middle St. The Italianate commercial building was originally constructed in 1866-67 following the Great Fire of Portland. The project team included Simons Architects, Consigli Construction, Thornton Tomasetti, Woodard & Curran, RFS Engineering and Hanson Historic Consulting.
Greater Portland Landmarks said the winners and their project teams will be celebrated in early October at the organization’s annual preservation awards event.
