Clothing retailer doubles its space with Old Port move

A women’s clothing retailer doubled its space with a 2,880-square-foot lease in the Thompson Block building at 121 Middle St. in Portland’s Old Port district.

The store opened last week after moving several blocks from its former 1,565-square-foot lease at 42 Exchange St.

Malone Commercial Brokers brokered the transaction.

“We fell in love with the space at 121 Middle St. the moment we saw it,” said Angela Foddrill, Bliss’s co-owner.

121 Middle Street (historically known as the Thompson Block) features private lofts from The Docent’s Collection on its upper floors. The addition of Bliss at the Thompson Block further enhances the area’s retail presence for visitors and locals alike.
